Yippee, it's March and we all know what that means, SPRING.  Well that is in the USA.  For my fellow longarm quilter, Jude, I think she might be starting summer in Australia.  We did get about eight inches of snow this week in beautiful Monticello, Indiana but it was still a beautiful day today.

I've worked hard this week to complete my workload of quilts (4 in all) so now I can go to the Common Threads Quilt Guild retreat.  The retreat is at the Pineview Resort right here in Monticello so I don't have far to go to enjoy two full days of sewing, sewing, sewing.  I've got my projects packed and homemade cookies baked to share with the 50 or so other quilters who are already there. My plans are to put a Chevron quilt together using two layer cake packages.  Really mindless piecing.  I've already decided what quilt pattern I plan on quilting on this quilt, at least I think I know.  I do reserve the right to change my mind though once I have the quilt put together.  I also plan on not putting any borders on this quilt which is a first for me.  I'll post some pictures of this quilt when I get it together on my Facebook page and I'll put a note here on the blog when I post them.

Well I better try and get some sleep 7:00 am will be here before I know it.

Blessings to all.
